Save the Chimps

Envisioning the future for an organization's next chapter

Four decades of relentless advocacy had effectively made chimp ownership and experimentation illegal across the U.S., rendering Save the Chimp's mission obsolete. In fact, the majority of residents in their Florida sanctuary were elderly chimps.

 

The organization needed to evolve, envisioning a future beyond operating a chimp sanctuary. An immersive on-site workshop convened board members, staff, and scientists to reflect on Save the Chimps' monumental impact while reimagining how it could create change moving forward.

 

Through this collaborative exploration, a new brand story took shape, redefining the organization's positioning and amplifying its purpose for years to come. Confronting the paradox of its success head-on, Save the Chimps pioneered an inspiring new vision that honored its legacy while boldly expanding its frontiers as advocacy pioneers.

As part of our workshop, we used a flat which was signed by all participants at the end of the workshop and then placed in one of the chimp's living areas.
